It's good to see some Daleks in the background, but, unfortunately they appeared at the wrong time. The Angels Take Manhattan was quite sad also frightening.

Matt smith is great as the doctor but this series was aweful. I felt Moffat was just filling in until the ponds left. Part 2 got off to a great start with the bells of St. John and the 50th is looking good.

The show has taken on a real cinematic feel this series and it pays dividends. The series looks stylish from start to finish, but the style never gets in the way of substance. The addition of Mark Williams (probably best known for the Fast Show or Harry Potter) as Rory's dad brings a warmth to the series and grounds it more than ever before. The opener is a Dalek episode, but there is a great subplot that runs through forming a basis to the rest of the series. There are also some great bonus scenes in the form of Pond Life and a couple of episode prequels. Just like last series' blu-ray and iTunes releases, these are not sequenced in with the series, which is slightly annoying as they help to bind the series in a way that the time-bound weekly episodes don't always manage on their own. Also, the 'P.S.' animated scene is missing. 5 great episodes here, making me look forward to what the 50th Anniversary year of 2013 has to offer.

This series has not entertained me but annoyed me, especially Steven Moffat, Asylum of the Daleks is a story I don't even want to talk about, Dinosaurs on a spaceship was quite good actually, A town called Mercy wasn't the great story I was looking forward to, The power of Three was OK until the end & The angels take manhattan was a bit weak & not the great ending to Amy & Rory that we all expected, it was just really unemotional, so now I'm just worried about the rest of series 7, & with it being the show's 50th anniversary, the world will be watching, & I don't think they'll be impressed.

Good series and sad ending to Rory and Amy. I am hoping they come out with the album so I can buy the song where Amy and Rory jump of the building.

Great Start to the series, but i don't like it when the series get's split into two parts. Asylum of the Daleks is a brilliant opening to the series, it jumps straight into the action and it also introduces us to the wonderful actress Jenna Louise Coleman. Dinosaurs on a spaceship, A Town called Mercy and The Power of Three are fantastic stories but the definite crowning piece of the series is the Angels take Manhattan. It is so emotional and intense and by the end of the episode you will feel like you have been through the ringer. I am only giving 4 stars though because the series is split into two, if this had been the whole collection i would have voted it higher.
