Doctor Who, Season 11

No words, just awful.

I literally slept through half of this virtue signaling waste of money. In this series we’re introduced to Jodie Whittaker’s take on the Doctor and she clearly doesn’t understand the character (and has admitted she didn’t bother watching the show, like a true professional). I drew a smiley face on a plank of wood in my back garden and it gave a more convincing portrayal of the Doctor. We’re also introduced to 3 new companions who are so devoid of character I actually can’t remember their names and if they went missing from an episode I actually wouldn’t notice. But as it stands we have a boy with dyspraxia, a girl who works for the police, and the host of Itv’s “the chase” who is a bus driver. That’s literally all you need to know about them! Then there’s what passes for writing ... well where to start here? Story is considered not to be important, but pushing the writers social and political messages are paramount. We go from one lecture to a next delivered by a plank of wood dressed as a hipster who seems incapable of breathing through her nose and so as a result we are treated to Jodie appearing out of breath all the time as she pants her way through her scenes. Now production value. Well the new tardis interior is just hideous, like Matt Smith’s series 5 tardis and Tennant’s tardis had a baby that was disfigured by nuclear fall out. The music that was one written by the great Murray Gold has now been replaced by a first year music student with a synth and very little talent or ability. While the cameras they use may be more expensive with higher resolutions the effects and cinematography is definitely worse than McGann’s TV movie, which is tragic that in this day and age we can’t get something better than a failed proof of concept episode from 1996! All in all if you missed this season when it was one, you didn’t miss anything, it’s still free on iPlayer if you want to torture yourself but don’t part with your money for this absolute garbage. Spoiler alert season 12 is also terrible don’t waste your money on that either!

Dull dull unbearably dull. Jodies fine, Chibnalls not.

This series doesn’t have lots of callbacks or threats to the universe, but it’s great for casual viewing and introduces us to Jodie Whittaker and her incredible take on the Doctor. It’s stand out episodes are the ones which delve into history, with Rosa and Demons of the Punjab being two of my favourites from this series. I know s11 isn’t for everyone, but it really is a good set of stories, all disconnected but connected at the same time. Loved it and will continue to rewatch it!

2019 the fall of iTunes so so sad! 10 episodes!!!!! Not 16 or even 22!

The new series of Doctor Who is Marmite. You either love it or hate it. I love Marmite, and I love this.

No thanks. Doctor Who is a man end of. Every episode is a journey into political correctness made by the BBC. I'll watch reruns of every other Doctor and enjoy when the show was made for sci fi fans long before the BBC made this woke version. £6.99 lol. Just shows how unpopular this series was. No one wanted a female doctor or preachy politically correct episodes.

Quite simply the worst series of Dr Who ever. Dreadful stories, a Doctor who is a supporting character in their own series and overbearing PC messages. Avoid.

Appalling writing sees mediocre actors host some of the absolute worst episodes in Dr. Who history (looking at you Arachnids In The UK). What was supposed to be a celebration of the first female doctor will go down as the worst season the show will produce (though S12 is still to come with Chibby still at the wheel).

Oh come on another series pass for a series that finished months ago. Ya idiots keep messing us fans with the series pass's months after the season has ended.
