This was some great Doctor Who, friendship, adventure, peril & humour. Great villains, even if they did come to an end a little to easily. Jodie was fantastic, she’s my Doctor!

The special effects were good but that doesn’t make up for a script written in crayon where nothing has consequences, reasons or any character development. Better things are being scribbled in notebooks by kids the length and breadth of the country. Characters are introduced as filler and we are told they are important but in reality have no relevance to the ‘plot’ (a term used loosely as motivations and plot points change every episode). Basically a mess with zero meaning.
  • A Fluxing perplexing mess

Honestly don't know how this has received 4 stars. I guess people these days can't recognise poor tv and storylines. For me at least tv Doctor Who in it's current iteration and incarnation is dead. Long live Big Finish!!
  • The best show ever!!!

I feel sorry for Jodie. She’s done her best with the drivel she’s been given. It’s hard for her. She’ll probably go down as the least popular Doctor in history, and that’s nothing to do with the fact that she’s a woman and everything to do with just how terrible the writing is. Mild spoilers for previous seasons as an example: the writing goes out of its way to show you that racism and colonialism is bad (obviously!) and then the next episode the Doctor is weaponising the Master’s race against him. Or, mild spoilers for this season: one episode the Doctor is like “hey they were retreating, don’t blow up those ships!” And the next episode the Doctor literally commits genocide without blinking an eyelid. I am so happy Chris Chibnall is out. Hopefully this signals a return to form for the show.

So sad Jodie is leaving, she’s the best doctor of all time and this is her best series to date,it only shows what could have been achieved with a further 2-3 series lane deserved an extended run like Tom baker

Chapter One: Doctor Who: Flux (or series 13) begins with The Halloween Apocalypse. The episode starts with us thrown right into the adventure. It’s full of energy and slows down for some really haunting sequences. As it’s chapter one of a six-part story, the episode ends on a cliffhanger. From the trailers, it looks like there’s a lot more of the story to come! Chapter Two: Flux continues it’s winning streak with another great episode. The War of the Sontarans show the titular enemies of The Doctor at their most evil. The story is intriguing with stellar performances all around. The cliffhanger leaves audiences excited for next-week! Chapter Three: The third episode of ‘Doctor Who: Flux’ is “Once, Upon Time”. A delightful mixture of five stories in one: Vinder, Yaz, The Doctor, Dan and Bel. This one seems to rely on CGI more than previous episodes, possibly because travel restrictions during filming might have prevented the usual globe-hopping location filming. However, it’s a great episode that may require a couple of re-watches to fully understand how the story fits together. It’s much faster paced compared to episode two and builds on more of the Flux mystery and that of the Divison. There’s a few great moments from some recurring characters too. Next week’s episode was featured in an extended “next chapter” teaser.
