A hugely enjoyable story even if the title and the plot seems a little bit unpromising at first. Some great supporting performances and of course, Tom Baker at his peerless best. Episode Three is almost entirely dialogue free, giving it an experimental and edgy feel. Of course it's reach exceeds it's grasp but not so much as in other stories, so it's really easy to watch and get caught up in even thought its 2012. Definitely worth a look.
  • A brilliant story, one of the best!

The story is absolutely great, the only problem was that half way through episode two it crackled and for the rest of the episode I could only hear it in one ear of my headphones. Nevertheless keep adding old doctor who iTunes, they are the best!

Some all time great Doctor Who on iTunes at last! If you love Who, this is unmissable, the whole story is total thriller from start to finish. I'm a massive Who fan and enjoy the new series but my loyalty is and always will be to the classic series. Good move Apple, now start adding more, especially 1st 2nd and 3rd Doctors!!
  • A true classic, and a credit to the series.

This is an absolute classic of an episode. 10/10. Some great cliffhangers, some genuine scary moments and an extremely dark tone. What more could you want from the legendary combination of Robert Holmes and Philip Hinchcliff? Two of Doctor Who's most credited talents. Recommended to anyone who wants a lesson in classic Doctor Who.
