Description

Oscar® winner Matt Damon ("Good Will Hunting," "Invictus") stars in "Hereafter," directed by Academy Award® winner Clint Eastwood ("Million Dollar Baby," "Unforgiven") from a screenplay by two time Oscar® nominee Peter Morgan ("Frost/Nixon," "The Queen"). "Hereafter" tells the story of three people who are haunted by mortality in different ways. Matt Damon stars as George, a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie (Cécile de France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality. And when Marcus (Frankie/George McLaren), a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might - or must - exist in the hereafter.

Mr Eastwood, what a gentle tale, so beautifully told. Thank you all your team for me.

It took ages until the purpose of the film became apparent but once it did I found it very entertaining.

Good film. But I bought it for just £4.
  • The characters felt real in what is a surreal storyline

I loved this film. Didn't know what to expect and didn't expect what it gave. Kind of interesting storyline but its the characters and the acting that make it - they just felt so real - praise therefore for the actors and Director.

I thought this was well written and thought out. It reminded me a little of Stephen King's similar unwilling pyschic. The effect of real pyschic ability was clearly a curse to anyone who wanted showmanship but got the truth instead!

I think that most films with Matt Damon are pretty good and I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwood and think he is a great director and actor but this was terrible it carried on with all different stories which built up to a huge failure and there was no real ending it just leaves you there thinking is that it??? DONT BUY the film but I read the book and thought the book was a bit better but not a good film would not recommend the film and hope that clint and matt don't make any more films like this

Ok so Im normally a chick flick kinda girl...but....I tried this for a change and was so surprised. Its a very thought provoking film and Matt Damon is excellent, as always....Clint Eastwood is one of the best directors around, tackling subjects that no-one else touches...I ended up watching this 3 nights in a row - I would highly recommend it

Not a failure for Eastwood or Damon. Was a little disappointed with the end!

Its sad to say that for a Clint Eastwood film I am kind of dissapointed. The acting and directing are a typical flair in a Clint Eastwood film but my problem with this one is that I felt the story dragged a bit in the second half. I mean at least ten minutes of this film is Matt Damon attending a cooking class.
