Absolutely loved this film! Possibly one of my favourites. Wes Anderson films are always full of hidden deeper meanings and this defiantly does not fail to deliver! Five star film with out a doubt!
A seriously underrated film

If you expect the film to be a comedy then you will be very dissapointed, although it has one or two funny moments, you cannot call it a comedy. If you watch the film with no expectations, then it will be average. Not to my taste though too drawn out and not that interesting.
So what happened to "Hotel Chevalier" ?

Great film - but I was dissapointed to see that the short 13 minute prologue was not included with this intunes version. At the cinema the two films were screened together and I was really hoping to re-live that full experience.....

You either love Wes Anderson's films, or you are left at the end wondering what the hell was that all about. Perhaps that is the desired effect, however this style of off-beat cinema really doesn't do anything for me. This film, like all his others, is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and highly polished. Sadly though the story fails to live up to what that promises, quite unfathomable it reminisces of schitzophrenic deconstruction. There is a suggestion of some deeper meaning behind the fragmented plot, however I could find no profundity behind the magazine cover of this film, and I am left feeling that Wes Anderson is nothing more than a pretentious enigma who is considerably out of his depth.
A great watch.

This is my favorite film available on iTunes. The story entwines very nicely and sort of cheesily, but in an unpatronising way.
The story also is very believable in the way that family members can put aside their differences and come toghether. I wouldn't go as far as to say this film is inspirational, but i certainly felt very satisfied after leaving the cinema.

This is one of the greatest films made by Wes Anderson, with its overt message of reconciliation between brothers through "spiritual" enlightenment being its predominent theme. Moreover, its combination of comedy and drama makes it enticing to watch from beginning to end. This film is a definate must watch.
LAUGH......AT WHAT?

Quite literally the most unfunny comedy I've ever seen. These actors should be careful it's films like this that start their slide to oblivion.
