Description

Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackman) and his wife, Etheline (Anjelica Huston), had three children -- Chas, Margot, and Richie -- and then they separated. Chas (Ben Stiller) started buying real estate in his early teens and seemed to have an almost preternatural understanding of international finance. Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow) was a playwright and received a Braverman Grant of $50,000 in the ninth grade. Richie (Luke Wilson) was a junior champion tennis player and won the U.S. Nationals three years in a row. Virtually all memory of the brilliance of the young Tenenbaums was subsequently erased by two decades of betrayal, failure, and disaster. Touchstone Home Entertainment is proud to present Wes Anderson's hilarious, touching, and brilliantly stylized study of melancholy and redemption.

Amazing cast, superbly acted, all the classic Wes Anderson compositional ploys. If you don't like it, I'll give you your money back.

This film oozes quality and has tons of depth, character and above all charm. . . but then would you expect anything less from an all star cast and a top director like Wes Anderson?

Am I the only person who bought this, as a DVD it has to be said, expecting the sheer volume of quality cast members to produce something brilliant, only to find myself completly bored and let down. There is nothing funny about this film and it seems pieced together very poorly. It doesn't flow at all and should be avoided at all cost.

although there were some funny parts in the film most of it was very plane and not what you expect from the comedy actors like Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson and ben stiller. overall a big let down
