Beautifully shot and visualised, quirky and interesting but left me a bit cold in the story. Some funny moments and some great characters.
  • Quirky, sensitive and real!

This is beautiful and a must see for any dog lover. It's incredibly quirky and warm with a lovely soundtrack throughout the film. The iTunes 4K copy is simply outstsnding. The sound quality is as clean as a bottle of Voss or Evian whilst its picture shines. Such a confident piece of art with a lovely story and a touch of real reality regarding 'old last century' media in todays' rather strange political times!!! Please see this film and love it for yourself. Great for all the family too!

I’m a huge Wes Anderson fan, but this was just simply not entertaining. The animation is very original, but the story and script was just off and didn’t deliver, in my opinion. I couldn’t even recommend this as a rental.

What a wonderful movie! If you liked Grand Budapest Hotel and other Wes Anderson movies then chances are you’ll like this one. It’s hard to find a movie that appeals to kids and adults alike but this is one of those movies. It’s wildly imaginative, clever and funny.
  • Very strange movie.

Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs is a delightfully beautiful ode to mans best friend. Opening the picture is a thunderous cocktail of Japanese sound, and Japanese culture followed all the way throughout its running time with glee and excitement, never feeling intrusive or exploiting. Anderson’s film is the essence of beautifully constructed detail, with the stop-motion looking outstanding on screen, breathtaking in-fact, with the usual stunning production design from Anderson looking more beautiful than ever before. Undeniably engaging with wonderfully constructed characters who steal every scene on screen, Murray and Cranston, in-particularly, are delightful, especially the latter whose role and story arc is both beautiful and poignant. Anderson also strikes out a particular theme in his films, and I’m so thankful it’s absent and allows a brighter picture to grow.
  • It was good but...

It's a damn good choice for best animated pic, but the story to me could've done with a few tweaks as certain characters were lacked. You will love it, unless your a cat.
