Deepwater Horizon

Well, this example was a tragedy for sure, but it pales into insignificance next to the Piper Alpha example in the North Sea in the late 80s where 167 died, and only 61 got out. The Piper Alpha was another tragic example of cost (read profit to the shareholder, rather than those risking their lives) being put above the lives of the staff working for the company. Well acted and represented by the cast, including John Malkovich who is capably unlikeable as the company man. There is a place for profit, but risk taking behaviour has no place in these types of environments.

It's an amazing true story film that brings to light just how amazing people can be and how something small can change your life forever worth buying

This is a strangley excellent movie - it takes a lot to keep me engaged and I recomend it.

Swept away by the deep blue sea awful true story of events on Deepwater Horizon...can you imagine how you would be feeling if it was you leading this team to safety? Kurt Russell is brilliantly cast as well as the others. So incredibly put together.yes it is what it is but so gripping. Wished he do more films these days.

Is one of the BEST films thats based on a true story that I've ever watched. You get a sense of just how bad the disaster really was. I honesty don't understand the negative comments about it. It shows you just what went wrong. Also how ignornt & stupid these BP/oil companys can be.

There's a negative review on here that makes this seem really cheesy and tacky. Just to point out, there isn't even a British guy in the movie and that American flag thing never happens.

Boring film , just couldnt get into it and it didnt seem to go anywhere . found it really awful .

I just watched it because it was new. I expected more from this.
