Too slow

An hour in and we're still into alot of back story. It takes ages for it to take off. The story's clunky and though the style is 70s it could have been better if the script had been written then and so to the film. Even as homage this doesn't work. Even with Clive Owen. Can't believe this is by the same guy who made "Tell No One'. But then Europeans should stay clear of Hollywood.

This is a great ensemble film, as well as showing massively under rated Clive Owen at his very best. Why this guy is not a major star is beyond me. Rent it, or buy it, you won't be disappointed if you want a decent plot, some classy scenery, and good dialogue.

Love to see this, but out of principle I am going to wait till it is a more reasonable price to rent.

Great concept and basis for a story line, great actors but average movie that doesn't deliver or have that cutting edge .... even less enjoyable due to the extortionate rental price.
TOO EXPENSIVE

This film feels like it should be great, but maybe that’s the problem as it simply doesn’t deliver. It can’t make up it’s mind whether it’s a heist movie, a gangster flick or a story of a working class family in the 70’s. It ends up being little more than a visual homage to 1970s cop films, with some of the most clumsy soundtrack choices I’ve ever experienced. Watch a proper 70’s film instead like The French Connection.
