4K (like all of the Disney/MCU films on iTunes). Would give it 5 stars otherwise.
  • Better than the first Thor, but not as good as Avengers.

As a solo film, it’s a bit better than the first Thor. But honestly, the villain is pretty forgettable. I do love the Thor/Loki team up. Love that sibling agrimony they have. I have to admit this, but it has a slightly more serious tone than most MCU films, which is refreshing.

Not very good escapist tosh. The characters are all 2-dimensional. No attempt has been made to elevate them from the comic books. Bale’s Batman and the recent Gal Gudot Wonder Woman succeeded brilliantly but this fails miserably. Anthony Hopkins play his part whilst totally asleep. It is like someone reading for his first screen test. It is THAT BAD. What a waste of supposedly good actors Hiddlestone, Elba, Ecclestone and Portman. Hemsworth at least is a convincing super-hero but it is rubbish… and then some. Glad I only rented.
  • No renting option???

Why a movie from 2013 costs £13.99 and is not available to rent??????? This is so annoying, no way I'm going to pay this much 😡
  • Good sequel

While 2013's Thor sequel up to the anti from the original, like many of the Marvel films, it suffered from a less than stellar villain. It did however, offer a chance to explore the romance between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), further into the world of Asguard and smartly brought back Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and teamed him up with Thor to take down the latest bad guy. Despite its flaws, there was still some fun to be had including a small cameo from Captain America, and an introduction to the world of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
  • Pure Enjoyment!

This is a fantastic follow up to Avengers/Thor. It was so much better than the first one it had good humour (like the first one) but also had good serious bits in it as well. It was nice to see more of Asgard now. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is a lot better this time around but Darcy got on my nerves quite a bit with all her sarcastic quotes. Hemsworth and Hiddleston were great and had great chemistry (as always). Alan Taylor (director) did a great job and he was the perfect person to get for this especially since how he's done Game of Thrones and at points you do think of GoT but in a good way. Overall great film with great performances from cast, good writing and great visuals!

Originally only watching it for the eye-candy, Hemsworth and Hiddleston are always worth a look, I found I rather enjoyed this. A nice escape into a fantasy world of Gods and monsters. Never really been much of a comic-book fan but Marvel studios has got me hooked. Not one for the serious movie buff, but one for those who enjoy a little step out of reality........and come on, who wouldnt want to live on Asgard.
