    But it looks like an upscaler has produced it, point well it lacks detail, it would be nice to have an indicator, 4k in older films normally means a film rescan! Much better please think about this iTunes.. as for film a classic and much appreciated

    A classic movie, sure its not got CGI or special effects or modern tech, but it makes you think about what we all may think about now and then, the belief that time travel may be possible, and its a movie worth a watch, Rod Taylor is very good in the title role, give it a watch! Its way better than the recent remake, I sure agree with those others who also figure this !

    This is the ultimate adventure, an incredible story. Better than the more recent remake in my opinion although that is a good movie too. A film that is still a joy to watch again and again.

    This has to be one of the best old films. Great story and some not bad effects. I could watch this over and over again. If u haven't seen this yet, you are definately missing out.

    Who can believe that in 1953 people thought about time travel.. It's true!. It's also true that this film is timeless. More than a classic. Brilliant!!!

    Unlike the recent release this version is set in England which is as it is written in the book by HGW. Funny enough War of the Worlds was written as taking place in England too, not that you would know that if you ask the Yanks.
