Seedy pile of implausible tosh from Dismal Washington.

Very moving story. Long film, could not take my eyes or ears away from it. A few good tunes in there too. Enjoy.

Denzel Washington is fantastic in this. The film does slow up a bit. But the story is good. A very American redemption story. Actually Don Cheadle was excellent also. Recommend

Started well, but soon drifted away and was boring to watch in the end. Great acting, but story just drifts along with little to keep your interest.

I loved this movie, so many things to learn from it and Denzel is great as a pilot, shows the downside of what alcohol and drugs do to people, a reality movie, is great, instead of fantasy all the time! nice work!

Very good film, something I don't understand is people who are saying how it wasn't suitable for their teenage children, it clearly says 15 years old and over and states what it includes, if you had problems showing this to a 16 year old + then you should seriously reconsider your parenting.

This film is ok, it's well acted and it touches on some raw issues but if you're looking for an action packed film like I was then this is not the film for you. Once the plane crash happens the film turns into a pure drama exploring alcoholism. I was expecting the crash to be more central to the film with more focus on the crash investigation, a bit more of a mystery/thriller. Instead of this the plane crash and subsequent crash investigation was a sub-storyline to Whip's battle with alcohol.

I watched this on the strength of the trailer and the previous films of its director. Be warned this is a terrible film, if you saw the trailer you saw the best bits. The rest of the film is just a miserable tale of an alcoholic and a drug addict. Truly terrible.
