From acclaimed and Academy Award-nominated director and writer David Mamet ("Hannibal," "The Untouchables") comes this taut action-thriller starring Val Kilmer ("Wonderland," "Red Planet") and Oscar-nominated William H. Macy ("Seabiscuit", TV's "Door To Door"). After staging an elaborate set up for an undercover operation why would an Kilmer's undercover character then enter a filling station to talk openly and exchange weapons with his partner right in front of the people trafficker who's sat on the forecourt? Why would that partner then chase after Kilmer shouting at him and drawing attention to himself? Terrible film, far from being an adult 'Taken' I wish it was 'Gone in 60 seconds'....would have saved me wasting my money!!

Absolutely awful, flimsy plot line and they seemed to be making it up as they went a long. It had many twists and turns then went nowhere. Just dreadful.

Saw some mixed reviews here…which always makes me want to check it out for myself….and glad I did. Decent story, some nice twists and Kilmer was surprisingly good to my mind. Give it a go yourself.
  • A brilliant film. Captivating.

Took a punt on this after reading the reviews, I do love a film that causes such mixed opinions. All I can say is, if you're into action movies, and want to see lots of pretty explosions, this movie is not for you. If you want a thriller (co-incidentally the category this is listed in), and you liked the plot of "Taken".. then, you will probably love this movie. I bought it on a whim, and stayed glued from beginning to end. Val Vilmer plays his part excellently, it's a movie that gives you a chance to fill in some of the gaps, without presenting everything to you on a plate as some audiences require. Loved it.
  • Quiet, considered and underrated

David Mamet has written a carefully crafted story that is, as one of the other reviewers has said, a 'grown-up' Taken. Val Kilmer is surprisingly good in this and plays a quiet Special Forces/Black Ops guy with a well scripted performance. It doesn't rocket along with cars blowing up every 5 seconds but has some very good little action scenes. I can only imagine that those reviewers who didn't like it, probably feed on Seagal/Transformer/Act of Valour -type films that blast your senses. This a great film. 3 quid well spent. Job done. Endex.

I saw this film by accident and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was not what I expected but instead a great under the radar film that I have recommended to many. Enjoy
  • Dreadful

With the script, the acting and the cinematography this film has managed to achieve the triple crown of being completely dreadful in all three. It really was like watching a bad amateur attempt at entertainment.

This movie will waste almost two hours of your life. Poor acting and a very predictable plot. If 'Taken' scores 10 out of 10 this movie does not even register on the list.
  • B movie, dreadful acting, pointless violence

We looked forward to this billed as a better 'Taken' but it is very poor and we stopped after 20 minutes. Dreadful wooden acting, thin script, gratuitous violence, low budget sets, over long scenes - avoid at all cost!
