Wow.. this film personally blew me away! I really enjoyed it especially when i grasped the concept of it all. The acting is solid and never lets up on the suspense and inquisitive tension. That said.. it is very heavy, very weird and not everyones cup of tea. Solid 3 stars 👍

Unless you want a ridiculous and tiresome 2 hour bible allegory, stay well away.

It’s never very good when a director has to explain to everyone what the movie is about. I lost interest very quickly and felt it a complete waste of my time. Even people who claim they know what it’s about are not completely sure. Extremely pretentious and very weird.

I have watched this twice now and still haven't fully sorted out my feeling towards it. Great performances from all the cast and a very different character from those tyrpically portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. If you are attracted by the basic premise, then ignore the negativity and make up your own mind.

This is like no other film ever made and is destined to be a noir cult movie. The brief is basically the existential survival of morality and sanity in the midst of the baying mob. This film crosses some boundaries many will feel uncomfortable with. It’s not a psychological thriller or horror, it’s worse, it’s a kaleidoscope of raw madness. Jeniffer Lawrence puts in a phenomenal performance.

This film is one of the worst I’ve ever seen, don’t bother with this, rent price is way to much, not even worth a pound
  • A perfect intelligent horror

Without a doubt the best intelligent horror movie ever made. There will certainly be many who do not engage with the film as it is not a simple “quiet, quiet, bang” horror or even a traditional thriller. This film is intelligent story telling at it’s absolute best. I pity anyone who is not intelligent enough to understand the brilliance and beauty of this perfect film.

I dont know how to introduce this. This is a film designed to take you on an emotional journey. Darren Aronofski, has created a raw theatrical expirience, this is everything I love about film. CInematography was exceptional, the way in which this film is shot, directed and supported with its colour palette and cluastrophobic setting added so much tension. This provided an interesting dynamnic to the characters relationships that was intriging to watch. I don't consider this film to portray scenes, there more like events that are seamlessly bound toghther with exceptional writing and vision from the director. Mother! at some points can be quite challenging to watch, this is a mature film designed for an intelligent mind, it's these moments once reflected on when the credits roll that left me with myself and my thoughts for a while. Just be prepared for an unorthodox film, It's different to say the least but that's why I love it.

This is not the way to portray the end of the world and then the re birth. The graphic scenes were unnecessary.
