The Thick of It follows the relationships between a Minister, his political advisors, and the media. The Thick Of It follows the relationships between the put-upon Minister for Social Affairs (Chris Langham), his political advisors, and their hapless relationship with the media. Peter Capaldi is his Policy Co-Ordinator and Chris Addison his Junior Policy Advisor. Described by Iannucci as 'Yes, Minister meets Larry Sanders', the series unveils the inner workings of the corridors of power and spin.

    A briliant political commedy featuring great performamces from all the cast, lannucci has created a briliant comedy capturing the chaos of government perfectly. Smart dialogue and believable characters make every episode essential veiwing material, shot with quick cuts and tracking shots the series has the viceral feel of a documentary. The thick of it is a adult commedy with a high swear count, so I would not recomend it for the faint of heart, although its genius is undeniable!

    i just got into the thick of it recently. i absolutely love it, especially series 1. everyone in the first series just seems on the top of their game. capaldi as tucker as campbell is the best chararacter by a mile. but jamie is still probably my overall favourite as tucker's right hand hatchet man. he still has to have the most creative 'sweardowns' of them all. the pain which that man threatens to inflict with an iPod is scary...but well funny!

    WARNING DO NOT BUY!! This is an amazing adult comedy HOWEVER EPISODE 3 CAN BE FOUND FOR FREE CURRENTLY ON ITUNES UNDER 'Free TV' My advice, purchase the first 2 here and get the other one free there ;) Wish I could reclaim expenses as I bought these a while ago... if only I was an MP...

    Argh, itunes!!! Cant believe what I just purchased, read the short description before I bought this and thought I was buying all 6 episodes, instead I have have just been totally ripped off and got half a series. Half my fault, half itunes. Still very annoying. Very good series though and would have gave the whole series 4/5 even without my itunes disaster.

    Simplay a fantastic show. Series 1 has 3 episodes, series 2 has 3 episodes to the reviewer asking earlier.

    Some of the funniest 90ish minutes of TV you will ever see! Can't wait for series 2 later this year! SimonJLewis, there were only 3 episodes in season, which was aired in early 2005 and then 3 episodes in season 2, which was aired later that year which is why you get half the episodes for half the price. ZinZin, you may want to look again at the description, aswell as British contract law.
