It say all series at £3.99. But they are still at £6.99. Please have someone checking things are as they should be. Bad service again from apple.

One of the best series EVER created… Yet £12.99 is too much per season… Let alone £24.99!! Do you people live in the real world. Yes I could afford this, but would I pay it definitely not! £50 in HD for the collection … “Maybe"

Do not buy any episodes from Apple list for a week as they may release it as a special set as it done with dads army originally paid over 60 quid defined by the end of the week that was available for £19.99 for the series what a rip-off Apple look after your customers

I can justify £20 for a 2016 series which varies in 13-20 episodes but why 12.99 per season ie x9 off so should be 59£ for all 9 seasons off to get cheaper version ps these were not shot in hd!
  • Great Show too expensive

Love this show but price is way to high. BluRay set £100 but iTunes is over 200. If price reduces would purchase
  • Great show, terrible price

The show itself is a 5 star show so why the 1 star review? Simple - the price. There’s a Bly Ray box set out in December and it is available on day one for £99, all 9 series and both movies. Or you can pay £225 on iTunes and not get the movies. And of course after a few months the Blu Ray price will probably drop.
  • Great HD upgrade... with qualifications

It's wonderful to see the old show back and looking so great. The X-Files was only intended for SD resolution broadcast, so although it was shot on 1990s film stock and has been rescanned at HD from the negatives, I can't believe it would look ***that*** much better on Blu-ray than it does here on iTunes. At the time of writing, it's costing about £25 a season which is not insubstantial, but is really only the price of an average night out with friends in a local London pub. The only caveat is that they've 'cheaped out' on certain aspects of the restoration. While most of the shots are from new HD scans, stock footage (ie shots of locations sourced from outside the production) has not been replaced and they've simply 'uprezzed' the tape footage. Worse, rather than recompositing some of the special effects shots, for example when Mulder gets confronted with an alien-tech aircraft in episode 2, they've again taken the uprez route, meaning we get a 16:9 zoomed version of a SD 4:3 tape image, with an abrupt drop in quality. Obviously there were budget limitations on the HD restoration, but it makes the job seem a bit half-hearted and not quite the definitive version this could have been. Also note the peculiar rainbow pixelation on the screaming man's nose in the opening titles. But the main thing is the stories and they're still great. For a show to have classics such as Squeeze and Conduit so early on is impressive, even if the first season very much sees the show finding its feet (for me, it's not until the second season's 'Duane Barry' episode that everything I love about the show fully falls into place.) Still this is a great (and obvious) place to start rewatching the series before the new episodes arrive in January. I want to believe the truth is out there!!
