Love Gits, love it to bits. Poker face Is the best IMO. Love the dub also. Whilst I rather the dub versions because it's rare to get a cast with such quality. I also have respect for people asking for the other. Would love to see both versions available.
  • Great anime but...

It's dubbed, why can't we have the japanese with subs? Also quite low bitrate files
  • Amazing! More of the same Section 9 action~

I cannot BELIEVE people are saying this series has been poorly dubbed!! Both this and the previous season (SAC: 1st gig) have an absolutely amazing English voice cast, which matches the original in quality, if not betters it! To be honest most of the characters, such as Major Kusanagi, Batou and Aramaki barely show much emotion at all, with the rare glimmer of humanity in their cyborg bodies, and the dub captures this perfectly! The show itself is also amazing.. I loved the first season, so watch that first if you haven't already. It's just fun, fast-paced, sci-fi action at it's best... Not the easiest to understand at all times, but at the end of the series all the pieces come together nicely. Just ignore what people are saying about the "POOR DUB"... You'll only think that if you have 1) seen the series in Japanese first, and refuse to watch it in English , or 2) you are a total purist who HATES english language dubs.

this anime was very good. The storyline was a bit fuzzy with the fillers in it but apart from that the dubbing was brillient as was the choice of voice actor

This has to be one of the best value-for-money items on the iTunes site. It may not have the resolution for big screen viewing but, as I've put it on my iPod (which is excellent for animation), that hardly has any bearing. As an English speaker who enjoys recording my own material, both spoken and singing, the range of voices are good and well executed. The plot is refreshingly adult with lots of action, plenty of politics, subversion, character and plot history and moments of pathos and poignancy. There's a depth to the characters and story which is only possible with something that lasts for 11 plus hours. I was sorry it was over and look forward to more programmes of this quality. I recommend this strongly.
  • Ignore ANY reviews refering back to bleach or naruto....

.... this is because the style of story telling and the target audience are completely different. it would be like comparing the newest batman film to a postman pat tv show. The ghost in the shell tv series is legendary from the style of animation to the soundtrack. Shirow Masamune is a highly respected just because of this series. However, i would have to agree with one of the other reviews (although 2 stars seems a bit harsh) Dont buy it on itunes unless you're happy with inaccurate dubbing. when translating 50 episodes from japanese to "american" english, a lot of the context is lost because the context is only meaningful to someone experienced with proper japanese life or true anime/manga. i would sum up the ghost in the shell S.A.C series as a very good and interesting tv show, however, a lot of the meaning and context is lost in the english translation, so buy it as a DVD and watch it with subtitles if you dont speak japanese!

This is a poorly dubbed anime, but most anime's are poorly dubbed anyway. Death Note is one of some exceptions. Why are we not seeing the higher selling anime's in Japan and the UK/US? Where is the Naruto? The Bleach? The Dragonball Z? The Death Note? You folk at iTunes love stealing our money so I was wondering why you have'nt got the popular anime's out? More Anime = More Cash
  • Amazing anime at a good price too!

I love this series personally and I'm glad it's reached iTunes. At 23.99 it's an ok price too, cheaper than the box sets in the shops.
