Babylon 5, Season 1

Series is awesome and looking forward to seeing it in HD. Only thing is apparently the remastered version of Babylon Squared is missing the last couple of scenes, one of which is really important for the context of the rest of the show. Hoping for a fix from WB!

Hi iTunes UK. Do I have to buy everything again?!?! I own it all on iTunes. Will I get an upgrade like 4K releases?

Every single episode / movie was filmed in widescreen during its production. All of the DVDs that I still own of these episodes / movies are in widescreen. WHY ARE NEARLY NONE OF THE EPISODES / MOVIES ON HERE AVAILABLE IN WIDESCREEN??? Please can the widescreen versions of all of these episodes / movies replace the crappy panned & scanned versions that are currently only available on here.

Warner Bros needs to remaster this series in HD. I know the logistics are apparently costly but the series needs to be brought up to HD standard and I think Warner would, in the long run benefit from such an investment. From what I’ve read the original negatives are still available. This show was unique and deserves a bit of care in order to attract another generation.

After 15 years of waiting, finally this is the definitive non-widescreen addition. For anyone who thinks this sounds like a step backwards, please take a read online as to why the special effects were completely butchered for the previous widescreen release. After an agonising wait, here we finally have the high definition footage from the widescreen version in the proper 4:3 aspect ratio alongside the original special effects. Sure, it means that occasionally the quality drops slightly as we switch to the upscaled special effects, but it’s miles better than the awful cropped versions that went into the previous addition. I’ve been waiting for this for about 15 years, ever since I first looked at the original disappointing DVD release. This series is absolute science-fiction gold, and this is the definitive version. Superb.

After watching the initial pilot i wasnt impressed with show untill i watched a random episode years later on TV after forgetting i had tried it and loced it so went back and bought them all. The first season was its weekest i felt spending to much time going on about what happened in past during the war that we didnt get to see until In The Beginning was made. A little time spend developing the main story arc of series and felt Sinclair was a week charactor during season and was relieved his role was replaced fur future seasons but at time didnt know the reason he left. Overall still alot of really good episodes and worth watching Unfortunitely as the full show isnt available i wont be buying this untillall the TV movies are made available

Price dropped too £7.99 they should be this price all the time because it’s not even HD great programme but iTunes with there price’s 🤬disgrace

B5 is not an easy series for a casual viewer to get into. To really understand it, you need to watch it right from the 1st episode, and stick with it. Something that is said as a casual remark in one episode, can have major consequences down the line. Characters that pop up only once or twice can be pivotal to the main story-arc. The story writing is great - JMS weaves his intricate story line around his fantastic cast of characters, who all have their faults, and are more real than characters on other Sci-Fi shows. There are a few duff episodes, which is to be expected in any series, but the vast majorty are excellent. After cramming in the 4th and 5th season into season 4 (as they were expecting to get cancelled), the main Shadow War story came to an end, and season 5 although still good, wasn't as great as the previous seasons, although I defy anyone who follows this, not to be moved by the final episode of season 5 "Sleeping in Light". Buy it, watch it, stick with it, and you will surely be rewarded!!!
