They don't make films like this any more. I never get fed up of watching it. It has everything. It definitely stands the test of time.

It's pure blarney and I absolutely LOVE it. The Quiet Man is one of my all-time favourite movies and every bit as comforting and restorative as a big mug of hot tea. John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara are fantastic together on camera.

I love John Wayne but this film is one of the best I've seen him in and with Victor Mclaglen Maureen o Hara and Barry Fitsgerald it is a classic that I could watch over and over again

A classic firm with an excellent story line. The fight scene between Wayne & Mclaglen has to be one of the best ever. Gentle humour and romance suits a group of actors normally seen beating up the native americans and saving the west. It has to be seen even just to listen to Ward Bonds Irish and to prove that redheads (Maureen O'Hara) have a temper to be wary of. It is in my choice of top ten films of all time
  • Simply the best
