For some strange reason, the freeze frame titles for such characters as ‘HUGO STIGLITZ’ and ‘DR JOSEPH GOEBBELS’ are missing from the film. That aside, it’s an almost perfect movie, the only demerits being the casting of Eli Roth and Mike Myers which are terrible considering the rest of the casting is immaculate.

Quentin Tarantino is probably the most consistent director working today. Basterds is his masterpiece. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are epics, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is beautiful, but Inglourious Basterds is the perfect blend of Tarantino-esc violence, dialogue, character development and story. It is in the club with Alien and The Shawshank Redemption where really, it is a perfect movie.

Looks good. War movie. Like we need another. And then the story is dreadful. Jew bashing, Nazi bashing, Movie bashing. Melanie Laurent is fantastic as the cinema owner and so too Christian Frank the Nazi hunter. Watching this however curdles the soul. An endurance not an entertainment. Ghastliness.
  • Great film but ruined by problems

Very good film but with the auto subtitle option for the foreign language sections the subtitles are off, often appearing after the character has finished talking. Sometimes lines of dialogue are skipped completly.

Such a great film. Fantastic actors. Loved every second. Watched it more than once.

Horrible, lazy, shambolic, poorly structured film, rescued only by a couple of fine performances. Just dreadful.
  • Total waste of time

I understand that this is just my opinion and that many people do enjoy this film, but for me it was too disjointed, the story jumped around seemingly at random and there are so many plots that none of them get the time they needed in order to play out It seems that Tarantino overstretched himself and tried to put too much into this film and it became a confusing mess There is very little action in the film and what there is is so poorly filmed that it's hard to follow Basically I didn't like it I didn't get a feel for the characters and I promptly deleted it from my iPad.
  • Excellent alternate reality of the 2nd World War

A very good movie. Don't look for too much sense (after all it is Tarantino) but all the leading actors are doing a phenomenal job and Watlz's Oscar is very well deserved indeed....
