First 30 minutes I had no idea where this film was heading, but then bang...everything comes crashing together. Superb.

Wow, haven't cried during a film in a while what with all the dross that's out there and this one sure does take you by surprise. Very slow paced but very, very sweet. If you don't like Jason Segel films then this won't be you're thing but if do then good for you.

the film made me laugh once, hence the two star rating as opposed to one.

Takes a while to get going and I confess that I nearly switched it off, but I'm so pleased that I kept going. This is a lovely film with great performances all round. And it will help you appreciate your loved ones a little bit more.
  • Not really a comedy..

If you're expecting a full on comedy, as the cast might suggest then you'll be disappointed even though it was marketed that way. Instead it's a good film about perspective. Crappy camera work though...
  • Worth watching

I was annoyed with the jilty camera work to start with, but persevered and I'm glad I did. A great little film, worth a watch.
  • I thought it was going to drag, but what a great film :)

I normally find it hard to watch films like this. They lack explosions and terrorist attacks. But I don't know why, but I genuinely loved this film. It has a brilliant storyline, with a feel-good cast. It reminded me a little of 'little miss sunshine'. But about 1000 times better. The film is about a guy who lives in his mums basement who believes that his life is a life of no accidents, and who is almost the opposite to his brother, who is a skeptic, and a genuine idiot, who's marriage is falling apart. They have a mother who, after her husband's death, seems to be going through an odd midlife crisis. This is all I will say as I don't want to ruin it. But this synopsis still makes the film sound like it will drag. But it was beautiful. And the ending was near perfection. Watch this film! Great to watch with your wife/girlfriend too.
