Cyrus

This film was set up for people to expect a comedy. It isn't a comedy. It's a good film, why list it incorrectly. I went in to watch this at the cinema expecting it to be funny, and I was disappointed. If they had shown the trailer without the funniest bits I wouldn't have been misled. I think this is why people are saying it's bad, because there are no laughs in it. Watch it and expect a moving dramedy.

I am a huge fan of John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Catherine Keener, so this was a fantastic movie for me. John C. Reilly is in the same league as Philip Seymour Hoffman.

I obviously haven't bought it as you can probably tell from the title iof this review itself, but when i went to see this at the cinema I can honestly say without a doubt that this is one of the worst films I have seen. It got to a point where instead of watching the film me and my friends just threw sweets at each other from across the cinema, obviously the cinema was empty, why wouldn't it be, other people had clearly read the reviews and decided just not to go. If I were watching this film by myself this probably would have been the first time i had ever walked out of the cinema on a film, it was honestly that bad. Although I still love Jonah Hill, I just think this was a particular low point in his career, one that I'm sure he regrets.

Low key indie comedy, with some very decent acting and smart humour, definately not for everyone though. Yet could be a nice sunday afternoon quiet film. * Jonah hill made this film (says it in the title).

I feel cheated for having paid to watch this. There isn't a no star option but I would select it if there was. Not funny at all, the only reason I kept watching till the end is because I was waiting for a punch line.

This isn't a belly splitting comedy however it is funny. Cyrus is deep and thought provoking, the style of the film and directing has a Woody Allen feel and the acting is first rate. Give it a try.

What can I say apart from very disappointed....

Good movie, especially great to see both Jonah Hill and John Reilly playing different characters than usual. Only bad thing, and reason for writing this review, is that I found the audio level way to low (probably something on Itunes part). Unfortunately it took away from the movie experience. Note: I watched it using my Macbook Pro 13inch...

Cyrus is the most disappointing, time wasting and extremely boring film I have seen! I thought because of a couple of "comedic" actors that star in the movie, this film would be funny and pretty good to watch. But trust me, this film is ANYTHING but. Weird and brain numbing film. 

Who ever said this film was a comedy needs shooting.an hour in n I turned it off c utter crap.
