Watched this at the Castro theatre when visiting San Francisco and fell in love with it. The soundtrack and the movie and the actors are amazing- well worth a watch to really appreciate how outstanding the cast are and how great they are especially before movies went all graphics and AI

Have seen this wonderful movie so many times since its release in 1969. Everything about it is pure magic, the acting, direction, editing, storyline and of course the soundtrack. Brilliant.

Within the first five minutes, you are rooting for Joe Buck. Voight’s performance is just played note perfectly as small town, naive young southerner with big eyes for the big apple. Dustin Hoffman plays the loveable Rizzo. A unlikely but beautiful pairing, not seen since. I watched this just recently as it was on my ‘classic’ list and i was not disappointed. The score is perfect and the soundtrack is brilliant. It still seems hard to believe that this is 46 years old. Groundbreaking at the time, I would have loved to have seen this when it first came out. Worth watching and worth watching again and again.

Never tire of this moving story. Not usually ione for oscar winners nor hollywood movies, but this is unusually gritty and beautifully acted. The filming is atmospheric and the soundrack on a par with any Tarantino movie. Love it!
