This is the version you should watch, but here’s the thing it’s not in HD. Why not? Well perhaps not enough folks are watching it. But I don’t want to watch it again in SD I want to watch in HD. You see the catch-22 here. Anyway the film itself is a richer more detailed experience that explores the character of Alexander much more successfully than the two previous versions of the film. Essentially a man who thought he was in a Greek epic but as a King with a strong army Alexander was in a position to make it all happen. Megalomania, fantasy and lots of wine… what could possibly go wrong? Marvellous stuff.

This is a better version than the theatrical release, Collin Farrell gives a good performance and Val Kilmer matches his accent quite well in parts. It’s longer, in fact any more longer and I’d have to book a day off work to watch it. This appeared more of an ‘epic’ than the original version. This should be in HD, but isn’t. Overall, I enjoyed it.

This is the version that should have been seen in theatres. Clocking in at a massive 210 minutes complete with intermission, this is the version that Oliver Stone intended and what everybody should give a second chance! Please iTunes, let's have this in HD to buy!!
