The first movie still is the best thriller/drama centred in commerce and the abuse of the financial system and information where the capitalist mainstream has (and still today) influences both political and legal bodies to such a degree peoples livelihoods are directly affected and at times destroyed by these corporate raiders and insider traders. This movie reflects upon the actions of these traders up to the 2008 crash. Note the names of the financial institutions and how they are loosely based on the big institutions. This movie does not have the acting prominence of the first film but is very accessible, enjoyable and a very decent sequel. This is some ways is as shrewd as the original.

I can't believe I'm reading these comments, Great film! One of the greatest business/finance films to date. If you just want to see helicopters exploding and people shooting guns 24/7 then I agree it's not for you.
  • Why no rental?

A terrible storyline, weak acting, zero direction, nothing much of anything happens. Sorry, but this really is a nasty film that shouldn't have been made. A wooden howler.

If this film were for free, they would be overcharging. A film in search of a catch phrase; bad plot; bad script; a dialled in performance by Michael Douglas; feels like a 2.5 hour economics lecture - however an actual lecture would have been more entertaining!
