This film is dumb fun. It mixes the Wild West with steampunk machines and comes out an entertaining, totally ridiculous and fun ride. Not the disaster some would make it out to be.

It was a great movie at a terrible time, when 1st premiered it was simply to different from what people where used to but in the last 5 years wild Wild West has recieved much more favour and it is actual quite funny and is very watchable in excess of 3+ times so I implore you to try it.

I dont get why everyone is giving this such a poor rating! Okay it's not what Will Smith usually does in a film and it's abit out of character however the madness and action does somehow fit together. It's a film you have to watch more than once. It has great humour from Will Smith as always and along with that themes that shouldn't go together but work together. Not going to lie when I first watched it I was like 'what the f...!?' but since watching it again it is a good film.
  • One of the worst films ever made

A real turkey. Totally ludicrous plot. Ham acting. 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Avoid like the plague.

The film is good. Could have been much better but Will Smith is brilliant as ever so it makes the film worth while watching.
  • Not the worst, not that good either

Wild Wild West is one of those movies that just seems to get carried away with itself. Whilst the first part of the movie is reasonably funny, entertaining even, the later just totally jumps the shark. Apart from the poor quality special effects, just the entire premise of the steam powered giant spider. Interestingly, you get the back story of this during one of Kevin Smiths "an evening with" where he talks about the executive produces obsession with having a movie with a giant spider in it. That aside, the interplay between Will Smith and Kevin Kline is fun, the train scene especially so. But is it worth £6.99? I'm going to have to say no. Sorry.... Rent it. Then realise you actually saved yourself £4.50.
