Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

I normally love these types of movies but this seemed like a really bad Universiy production... even with the great special effects, the script was lame and the acting was super bad. Honestly surprised at how many people rated this highly.

If you have read the books and are expecting something similar do not watch because it will seriously let you down (I am like that), if not then it is alright

I read the books and decided I'd watch the film, even though all my friends hated it. From the start I was face palming and grinding my teeth. It was horrendous! They butchered Camp Half-Blood, Olympus, the Underworld, the gods, Annabeth, Percy, Grover, Chiron, the storyline, etc.... Setting aside the fact that it was a book and just looking at the film it was predictable, banal, and pathetic. They sort of forgot to explain how the Greek gods even ended up in the USA! They didn't even follow the most standard Greek mythology! Their versions of Medusa, The Underworld, Persephone, Hades, The Olympian throne room, were all inaccurate to every myth I have ever read. Not worth the money unless you believe in torturing yourself. The only reason it has a star is because giving it no star is not an option. The book is always better.

I think we all agree when we say this is everything wrong with the world and that this movie makes you want to set your hair on fire and jump off a cliff into Tartarus. Everything is wrong. Just remember fellow Fangirls this is not the true Percy Jackson. Stay Stay true to the fandom -Fellow Fangirl

I am a massive fan of the books, i love everything about them, so when i found out there was a movie i was sooo looking forward to it. Its not just that the movie doesn't follow the book AT ALL, its also that such a good book was turned into a movie with a bad overall plot line, it was predictable winey and downright rubbish

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! ANNABETH IS BLONDE! And do NOT tell me "well it doesn't have to follow the book completely". Annabeth HAS TO BE BLONDE. It is a SPECIFIC FEATURE that MUST BE INCLUDED to appease the world-wide PJO fandom. Thank you. ^^^ Sorry I'm part of a fandom I get like this sometimes.

Well. As a film on it's own it should be fine but I hate is due to the way is does nit follow the origenal story line at all. If ur a fan of the books or have read them I don't recomend. If you've never read the books then go ahead.

Me and my kids found this movie great, though i'm not so sure others do..... to me this film was an amzaing adventure through the under world and the, well basic world. I relll enjoyed it as I was on the edge of my chair the whole time while the olympians were fighting monsters such as Hydras & Medusa! I reccomend this film for the 10-14 not by the way of rude kanguage (as there is none) but both my kids are between this ge found this film well, AMAZING!!!!

The meduca chase the 7 minutes underwater! The miss Dodds with talons!

It's awesome u have to buy it.It might be a lot of money but its totally worth it
