I originally watched this film shortly after its original release and I connected with it immediately Death. Love interest and the ending had me in tears I watch this every few years and it still has a power over me My other favourite films are legend of the fall being one of them which was made shortly after and superb to watch As I get older I realise we don’t all have the same taste but if you haven’t seen this please give it a try Always surprised how many people haven’t seen this film Enjoy
  • A strange, yet intriguing film.

First of, this film has a very strange atmosphere. The pacing, editing all feel off, in a good way. It almost has a chilling, haunting vibe to it, which I think was intended. Brad Pitt as Joe Black (Death) was just a great choice. His performance was so creepy and good. Anthony Hopkins was also amazing as well. But they were the only characters that I liked. Everyone else were a bit bland. That Susan girl was kinda boring, yet she was very pretty. The running time was a bit too long. And the ending was a bit disappointing. I wished it ended the way I wanted it to. Without spoiling it, the film seems to head towards a ending that could have been satisfying, but ends up not, but it’s still good. Overall, a really interesting film. which is a nice surprise and change to other movies I have seen. Even though it has a few Romance drama cliche.

Beautiful film and Brad Pitt is wonderful. Its just Claire Forlani- the love interest makes all her scenes unbearable to watch! All she does is play pretty! Stop it! Other than that amazing film

Magical emotional fantastic, no one I know seems to get this film but I Iove it. Not normally my kind of film style but just something amazing about it especially having children myself makes it really emotional. It's a must watch no matter what films you normally watch.
