In was in French so had subtitles throughout which was annoying to start with and made it quite easy to loose the plot. It was an ok film ending was a bit poor, I wouldn't rush out to buy it or watch it again but it gave me something to do on a boring friday evening.

Simply beautiful. Audrey Tatou is as fantastic as she always is and it was a great shock to see Jodie Foster play a part in a french film. Although it is sad it is a certain must see, worth every penny.

Quite simply, perfect. If you enjoyed Amelie, then you will love this film just as much or even more so. J-P Jeunet has captured scenes of hope, love and war and integrated them into 2 hours of classic cinema. Audrey Tatou is divine as a young woman who refuses to believe that her fiance died in the trenches; gradually she pieces together the events leading up to his "disappearance". A must see movie.

J-P Jeunet really has a remarkable talent for making the most touching and inspirational movies. This magnificent story takes you from the very start and refuses to let you go until the very bittersweet end. An incredible film, shot beautifully and sensitively and with brilliant attention to detail. It's heart wrenching, touchingly funny, passionate and powerful viewing. The score is also phenomenal, whisking you on the same inspiring journey as the lead character. A humble and timeless movie.
