Description

200 years after her last adventure, a group of scientists has cloned Lt. Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), along with the alien queen inside her, hoping to breed the ultimate weapon. But the resurrected Ripley is full of surprises for her resurrectors--as are the aliens they've attempted to imprison. To combat the creatures, Ripley must team up with a band of smugglers, including an advanced female android named Call (Winona Ryder), to combat the rampaging aliens in a lab ship hurtling toward Earth.

Good film but some things didn't feel right like when the guy that could aim his guns at unrealistic angles fired his shots and the hybrid was a bit freaky.Still quite a good film but the first three alien films were more realistic and were better alien films.Still quite good though and worth a watch.

You simply must see the Blu-ray extended version. Provides the answers and reasons you needed. It's only when you see this do you wonder why they cut the original. A real classic and a must see.....

This is what sequals should never do... rehash previous movies, but that is exaclty what alien ressurection does, no vision or original ideas are present in this film, instead we just get some bits that worked in previous movies and the comic relief is just way too much, the tone in the alien franchise has always been darker and more serious and the comic tone and rehashing old cliches is what makes this film not as good as it maybe could have been. having said that its a pretty decent sci fi pic but by far the most jeuvinile in the franchise. decent none the less

I am a massive fan of the alien franchise but this could be the worst film ever. The films premise is ridiculous to start with and it just gets worse and worse. Avoid this film like the plague. It is actually worse than AVP 2.

To be honest, as a film of the Alien franchise, this was the beginning of the end of Giger's Alien. The Aliens, when you watch the film, are reverted to the "classic" dome head that is seen in Alien and Alien3, But thats where the simularities end. Leaning more to the Organic than the bio-mechanical nightmare that Giger created, the Alien no longer represents the unknown organism, but more the well known monster a child should be afriad of. The Story is not as intense and thrilling as with the Original trilogy, with little to no suspence. Although the concept of bringing Ripley back from the dead does seem plausible for the way off future, the character that Sigorney Weaver portrays is more of a over the top characture of the Original Ripley. As a whole, and speaking as a die hard fan of the franchise, this is one that should have never really been made. Perhaps with better writing, more suspense and less control given to Alec Guiness and Tom Woodruff jr over the creature design (who have increasingly torn the alien apart in AvP and AvP:R) i would give this a miss and leave your veiwing experience of Alien to just the "Original Trilogy"

... more like a twisted return from the dead. expected a marine packed adventure searching for ripley and the Apone's sorry bunch of grunts. nope. Ripley comes back. the true star of the film, the Alien, mutated and not quite horror we know and love. No new heroes but a sign that anti-heroes are what the world needs. overdose here of that...sad Good point.. it's worth a rental than a collection for me. good action and visually stunning. However some cgi effects are pathetic for a late 90s film. A good popcorn watch nothing more. enjoy it as a fil. a continuation of the alien saga?... your choice.
