  • Fabulous - a thinking woman's romantic comedy

Two superb and very natural performances from the leads and the chemistry works a treat. Paris is the third star in this film and looks fabulous. Hardly any action - just walking and talking - and not even a kiss. But the romance and the joy will knock your socks off.

10 stars. They’ve found out how to tell it how it is; how it ‘really’ is between two people. When Harry met Sally was a brilliant film, no doubt about that, but this story advances the concept by light years. It’s like a play that’s moved thought the fourth wall and right out into the street. It’s like a Catier-Bresson image come to life. A really beautiful film. And hardly any music to distract us from the sublime acting by both. Absorb this story and think about that person you once met long ago. I ended up in tears thinking about a German girl I once knew …. maybe I’ll give her a call now?

This is one of my favourites movies. The images, the scenery, the music....so beatifully made. Love their endless conversations because they just happen to be so natural and intimate. A must-see along with 'Before the Sunrise'.

This is the sequel to "Before Sunrise". The review didn't state that, so we watched this one before discovering the prequel. We felt that this was even better than "Before Sunrise" and its great that they are able to use the same actors with a nine-year real life gap between the movies. Both movies revolve around the dialogue between these two actors, and the scripts are so well written that the scenery of Vienna and then Paris are unnecessary (but beautiful) additions to the movie. Both are well worth watching - thinking people's movies!

This is my favourite romantic film; even better than The Notebook.
