I love love LOVE Meryl Streep, who is fabulous in this film. However, Shirley MacLaine absolutely owns this film from her first appearance to the beautiful, touching last shot of her in the final scene. Brilliant story excellently written by Carrie Fisher. Any woman who has a mother should definitely watch this. Totally relatable :)

Love this film. So rare to see performances so good by all the cast. Superbly and knowingly written. Just watch it again and again. I never get bored with this one.
