Definitely best film I've ever seen. Incredible costumes, music, general Chistmas theme throughout. Probably Vince Vaughn's best film. Really brings the north pole to life. If you like Christmas you will love this without fail!

I found this movie easy to watch and get into. Didn't expect great things from it so wasn't disappointed. Had quite a few funny moments and could easily watch it again - good enough for a Christmas movie.

I went to the cinema hoping to see a great film, by the trailers it looked like a great film. I came out utterly dissapointed. The film fails to deliver. It starts of with a bizzare plot which ends up nowhere by the end of the film. Basically Fred stays with his brother santa, and thats about as exiting as it get's.

If only this movie was 'fun by the sleighful'. It is in fact a lukewarm comedy, featuring Vince Vaughn & Paul Giamatti both slugging it out to win the 'who-is-bothered-least' prize-title. Though Kevin Spacey is another candidate turning up simply to pay for a new Old Vic production one assumes. It is in part 'saved' by the simple fact that it's a Christmas movie therefore has a christmasy message and bright colours, but once you get over that you can admit its actually pretty poor. Sad really I wanted to like this. 'Elf' is far superior and let's face it that's not saying much. Rachel Weisz gives unintentional comedy through use of a strange Mockney accent she employs. Clearly Rachel has been in the US for so long that she is unaware that this accent only exists in Albert Square. Moments of schmaltz too featuring orphaned kid and one of the elves kissing a normal sized elf-helper (which was a bit strange). The bit which gives this movie it's additional star is a 'Siblings Anonymous' scene, the best idea in the whole movie, even though the direction manages to make it not funny..
