The Happening

This is the film that you watch expecting the story to build and for there to be highs and lows and a logical conclusion or ongoing situation. This is a film that struggles on all counts because the protagonists never emerge and the big reveal is a massive let-down. One to miss, for sure.

I'm glad I watched it, people don't like something that resembles reality, and this may a warning to us all, it's up to people to listen or not! i've seen a lot worse! people should watch for themself and make up their own mind, rather than go by someone elses opinion!

Rubbish director who can't make a decent film and does a terrible job at this film. He should be banned for this and hang his towel for good.

I was quite surprised at how god this film is, especially considering its poor rating. It's quite disturbing in places, but tells a good story well, and raises some thought provoking questions.

It's an ok movie, don't get me wrong I just can't make out some of the decisions made when making this film. For example, I do not understand the characters - it seems to be good actors making the best of a bad script. Some of the choices made by the characters made no sense and although the overall plot was a very clever idea, it came across poorly executed as the movie lost momentum half way through. My personal opinion is that more could have been done with the storyline and the characters should have been stronger, more vibrant and edgy… and there's one woman who was on goodness knows what!! Potentially a classic thriller but ran out of somewhere to go!

This is a very good film. I think people have been downloading it, expecting action, blood, gore or something like that. This film gets you thinking. Quite a few scenes provide some good talking points, one of the best is when it is raining builders, to imagine that happening is weird! It has the same feel of some of his other films. So basically if you like his other stuff you will like this.

I went into this expecting a nice rip-roaring thriller, but how wrong I was! Shyamalan fooled us all, and instead made a ridiculous comedy about the end of the world! Hilarious! The performances from Wahlberg and Deschanel are wide-eyed, breathless, bland and comically hilarious, suiting the tone perfectly. It's the best Plant Apocalypse film I've ever seen, and is to be taken just as seriously as its fellow rival, Little Shop of Horrors (naturally the musical version). Unfortunately, Shyamalan does drop the ball a few times, and the odd sequence that's genuinely disturbing slips through, but he very quickly gets back to the same kind of quality Ed Wood would be proud to have. A comedy that everyone should watch, especially whilst intoxicated on some kind of heavy narcotic/drug/alcohol!

Ok u guys 5 stars because of Zooey Deschanel cus she is so hot and it's an ok film
