Another great M. Night. Shyamalan film, with a couple of big names in this film about crop circles suddenly and mysteriously appearing. A great film in HD with Dolby 5.1 and CC subtitles for the great price of £3.99. Well worth it!

One of Shymalan’s very best movies, a drama about faith and family set against the backdrop of an alien invasion. Before his personal demons overwhelmed his career, Mel Gibson delivered a wonderfully sensitive performance as a preacher who’s lost his faith and who’s cornfield may be ground zero for the aliens. He’s supported by great work from Joaquin Phoenix as his brother, and little Rory Culkin and Abigail Breslin as his kids. The whole film has a very deliberate, crafted and structured feel, with one or two genuine frights. It’s ultimately very moving and one of Shymalan’s most satisfying melding of themes and genres. However Touchstone/Disney have left this hanging at an unjustifiable £12.00 for years now so it’s hard to recommend a purchase.

Love this movie, the pace, the casting, the musical score & most of all the tempo of which it all comes together; perfect. One of my favourite movies, why this wasn’t bigger is beyond me.

iTunes £11.99 is a joke for a film just re-leased let alone a film this old.

This film is very suspenseful and surprisingly makes a lot of sense, people ask why aliens would travel (SPOILER ALERT GO TO NEXT PARAGRAPH) to a world that is mostly their weakness but we can't live on other planets that have acid or something on them, it's because we want to explore and it is a very good film, the only reason that I don't give it five stars is because of the son, I find him SO annoying

this could have been so much better and scarier. Mel Gibson is always great when doing his inner conflict thang. But the idea of him being a 'father' who has lost his wife because of the death of his wife is just a mediocre plot device. this director showed so much promise with '6th sense' ; this is so lame it's hard to believe it's the same guy. a poor script and no one to tell him - shows in the work. Come on crop circles made by aliens ? but a story of the deeper level of paranoia could have gone somewhere. scope for subversion etc.
