This is comedy? Why am I bore and not laughing.explains why I’ve never seen it in 22 years,not been missing much

I think it’s not my humour...call me dude...that’s not funny. There are places that made me laugh but they weren’t memorable and they were few. I didn’t finish movie couldn’t care less about the whole detective case being solved of who had kidnapped the lebowski girlfriend...not for me don’t get the fuss at all.

Clearly this film is a classic, and genius on so many levels. Almost pointless to give it 5 stars. What made me write a review was just to note that some people don't see anything funny within this film at all - and that's fascianting. It just shows how varied a sense of humour really is around the world. What personality type can't see any joy in this film? Not see the hilarity? I guess there is a moral lesson there about assuming comedy is universal.

Fantastic, absurd and funny. The Dude is unforgettable. I have this at home and have seen it so many times. Possibly the Coen Brothers best comedy.

Yea, not much to say about this film. I was kinda bored.

You can't help thinking that all the cast are merely performing their normal character and that the viewer is merely a privileged observer of actual whacko stoner/vet life of that age. A perfect film in all respects. I want the carpet as a trophy!

Do not understand the love for this film. Wretched.

Funny, deep, silly, philosophical, slap-stick, wise - you just run out of ways of describing this classic, classic movie. In terms of who will enjoy this film? Well even my 74 year old mother loved this movie. Don't invite anybody who doesn't like this movie to the lanes with you.

The best film ever made,from start to finish fantastic,Walter is the man.your entering a world of pain,mark it zero.
