Remember watching this when it first came out on video with my parents, my dad cried his eyes out, if this doesnt bring a tear to the eye, your not human, excellent movie, well acted by all, especially the young Ricky Schroder.

If you like sad films this one I guarantee that will make you weep. I must have seen this film at least 20 times and I am still unable to make it through to the end without crying.

I watched The Champ on Saturday night and, I gotta tell ya, it was the saddest movie I have ever seen! I'm only 11 and I haven't seen many movies yet but that was the saddest of all. I really felt sorry for the little boy(he's so adorable!) when Champ got arrested! My mum burst into tears at the end when Champ died but I didn't! But, the movie made you feel good and..well, ten out of ten to the director! Fantastic!!!
