A superb film with great acting, props and costumes. Great cannon fire effects on my 5,1 stereo and I particularly liked the classical music.
  • Marvellous - would love to see a sequel directed by Peter Weir

Loved this film, excellent on so many levels, from the direction to the acting to the script and, of course, the attention to detail. Where's the sequel?

One of the few films that has the feeling of the original books it was taken from a first rate tale of the sea

Quite frankly one of the best films there is out there to date.. The way it was all brought together with a fantastic cast, riveting and wonderful. A real insight into how it might have been.. Superb, will they ever make a follow on?
