What a quality film. 99p is really good so I've watched it twice. Honestly this was so much fun. I feel like a child watching a grown up cartoon. QUALITY.

Ignoring the differences between the original comics and this film I would say the film is good. Some parts of the story are a bit weak for example Louis meeting Lex. It seemed that the writers couldn't find another way to continue the story. On the plus side the artwork is good. I like the way it was animated. The length of the film also felt right as well. It wasn't too short or too long.

Normally I do cartoon's but this one seemed promising. I was definetley right. 'Doomsday' is amazing, full of action and emotion. James Marsters is the perfect choice for Lex Luthor. His voice just 'works' for the character. I definetley recommend it.

Genuinely worthy of the five star review. I've been putting off buying this because the animation looked a little off from the stills/trailer, but it was excellent. The cinematography is fantastic throughout and pulls off stuff you just wouldn't see in a live action. Great adult tone throughout, tight script and story. Up there with Batman: Mask of the Phantasm for me. I loved it.

What myopic muppet designed your website? That's web builders for you - they regard text as a shape that has to fit on the page. They don't notice whether it's legible or not.

Superman, the franchise, seems to be having a crisis of confidence at the moment, somewhat akin to the Batman collapse following the intially promising Tim Burton movies. Hopefully a creative team of the calibre involved in Batman now, can step up to the plate and rescue the ultimate superhero. At any rate this cartoon, and it certainly is a cartoon, there's nothing here that is graphic, nor novel, fails to add to the Superman canon. It's Superman reheated. Fundamentally the artwork is unadventurous and unrewarding; further proof, if any were needed, that whilst the Batman has successfully found a new lease of life (see Gotham Knights primarily, & the fun kids spin-off Return of the Joker ) Superman is still struggling to reassert himself. Which is a great shame.
  • Big, occasionally dumb fun

This ain’t an adaptation of the infamous “Death of Superman” comics storyline (despite the title, Doomsday himself is written out pretty early on), but it’s a fun, occasionally affecting romp. Superman gets to examine what it means to be a hero, and face death. Luthor is splendidly ruthless and sadistic. Lois goes through the loneliness of loving the world’s saviour, and Jimmy... well, Jimmy just tags along as usual. Although some of the dialogue is weak, and Supes can come off as just a little too worthy, the voice acting is good and the fight scenes are spectacular in size, scope and execution—try getting Superman to convincingly throw a cargo ship down a city street in live action. Throw in a funny Kevin Smith cameo for good measure, and you’ve got a very pleasant 80-minute diversion.
