High Expectations.

What a cast, di Caprio & De Niro and directed by Scorsese wow!! Was expecting big things, but sorry to say, it was a total & utter let down. Should have learnt my lesson after watching The Irishman. They just don’t make em like they used to anymore.
Factual story about the Osage people

Extraordinary story based on real life events and the murder of various Osage people in the early 1920’s.
Should be a must see film since it is a part of America’s indigenous peoples history. Not all of America is just white.
Great movie. Never pay 19.99

What a movie, Leo at his best. The cast and script are tight and, while long, I was engaged the whole time.
Can’t wait for it to come down to 13.99!!!

I have no problem with the length of the movie, 90 mins is no good for anything, character development etc. The story is a sad one, but given the time, like someone else mentioned, you don’t really connect with the characters. I did watch it all, unlike The Irishman, which I turned off after 20 mins.
Overpriced

£19.99 is way more than it would cost to see at the cinema even!? And realistically it’s not like this is a Disney film for the whole family to sit down and watch together for that £20, so that argument doesn’t work when it’s most likely only going to be watched by a single adult, so I feel like it should really be priced accordingly for the price of an individual ticket. I’m disappointed as well at how shamelessly greedy Apple TV are being when I had looked forward to it being added to their streaming platform for Christmas
Very, very long!

Saw in cinema. Great acting and production. But….so slow, so long. Also none of the characters really connect with the audience, they are either remote or just so broken as to be in likeable. It’s just a very sad tale of human greed and cruelty, played out over far too long.
The main story could have been told in under 2 hours, primarily because the key theme stays the same all the way through.
It feels like Scorsese (including with The Irishman and other recent movies) has been allowed too much rope by the studios and has ended up killing the narrative in the process here.
Watch or not watch? Well, if you are a cinema buff then yes. If you want a fun evening with friends and family then a hard no.
Masterpiece!

I had the good fortune to watch this incredible movie at the cinema on the biggest screen going. It slowly gripped
Me and drew me in. The story is compelling and fascinating. I love western mythology and North American culture. It’s a fine movie with some great performances particularly from deniro and decaprio and lily gladstone. Give it a watch it’s a brilliant movie.
