Description

Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world's oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate's long-lost brother...but only if they can learn to work together.

A wasted opportunity. Just watch the Indy films instead or play the video game.

I mean we all know to suspend belief or at best leave it at the door with some movies but dam, need to kick this one out of the stratosphere. This movie had so many inconsistencies, jumps, errors it was impossible to suspend any belief because they kept rubbing the errors in your face. Fact is this should have been some kind of animation, that would have carried its awfulness a lot better. Example…they end up on a bobbing crate and the next scene is them walking out the sea, no crate no nothing. Another example, they fight to survive a flooding chamber, once they get out they are immediately dry, hair and lot…the only person who is not dry is me from sweating with annoyance at the lack of care in basic details. Surfing on a car as its falling, I mean I seen worse, least I though I had until this came along…..won’t spoil the last part of the movie as that will do it itself. Anyone who gave this greater than a 3 didn’t watch it or I assure you they could not find another person to sit and watch it with both come out with a 4/5, assured!!!! Rented for £1.99, allI can say thank frell! Still feel ripped off but nothing I can’t recover from. Genuinly had average hopes for this but that is very very quickly dashed. Do hope this gets remade or an anime version comes out to do the franchise justice because it is awesome but it needs to stop trying to compare or compete with Jones / Mission Impossible style’s. Verdict = Pants

I rented this just to see if it deserved the scathing reviews. It’s well shot and looks great, the actors are clearly having fun also, but the plot is sooo incredibly weak and filled with holes. Wahlberg and Holland bounce of each other well but not even that can save it from being a very poor attempt at a cheesy adventure movie. Predictable, uninspiring and flat. Next!

Disappointing tosh! All of the action sequences are highly implausible and completely ludicrous! They should spend more money on the script and writing decent dialogue.
  • Uncharted - looking forward to the franchise

Enjoyed this film, it’s not original but it’s light hearted, adventurous and for the whole family.

This is a fun film. It’s not aiming for an Oscar but it’s more of a modern day Goonies. You can easily watch this more than once and 12+ kids should love it.

The film to me doesn’t really have the resemblance to the game but as a movie I do like this.I went to the cinema to see this with my older brother n best friend n I really enjoyed it I hope that a sequel is made.

Tom Holland clearly felt like he needed a rubbish movie on his CV to be truly “Hollywood”. On that basis he decided to star in a highly derivative action flick (which is short on action) with the awful Mark Wahlberg who phoned in most of his terrible performance. The script is naff. The action lacks pace. It’s got bits of The Mummy, Indiana Jones, Goonies, you name it - just not the good bits. There’s no jeopardy and everything is so ridiculously convenient it all lacks any kind of credibility. Sadly it’s instantly forgotten. A squandered opportunity.
