Went to the Odeon Movie theatre to see Aquaman and it did not disappoint at all. A definite “ Must see “ Movie. Graphics were Spectacular and a great story line I’m also preordering it.

I thought i was finished for the year when it came to superhero movies, then i saw this. Great film, visually great, soundtracks amazing - if DC keep on doing movies like this then they will be at the top in no time.

I’m a DC fan, but unfortunately I wasn’t sure about this film. Firstly, due to the unfortunate box office disappointment that was Justice League, it seems like the fate of the DCEU has rested in this film’s success. Secondly, Aquaman isn’t a popular superhero and people have really taken the p*ss out off him since the 60s. Knowing this, I thought that this film wasn’t gonna be good. I was proven wrong. This film was a blast. The action sequences were wild, Atlantis looked amazing and Jason Momoa is having a whale of a time (pun intended). It’s so much fun. We’re talking about a film where an octopus plays bongo drums and an Atlantean soldier sticks his head in a toilet to breathe (two very funny and memorable moments). I don’t care that it used a lot of superhero movie tropes. Let’s face it, every superhero movie copies eachother, even Marvel movies. This film was epic and I can’t wait to get it on DVD.

I agree with the reviewer who asked for the Snyder cut (of Justice League) as we are talking about movies for grown-ups - which Aquaman isn't. It's ok but DC have gone backwards with this but the rot set in with Whedon's abominable changes to JL. In Aquaman Jason Momoa has all the acting ability of an Austrian Arnold but somehow lacks the naive charm. Dialogue was obviously written for teenagers to whom it will probably appeal and I can't understand why they cut JL to 2 hours but weren't able to edit this to a manageable length. Oh well, I used to prefer DC to Marvel but the latter are doing it all right at the moment and DC are going backwards. Bring back Zack!

A really good film - best seen at the cinema as it’s so visually lush. Great leads and cool action, with good humour too. Aquaman himself is a very cool hero - Jason Momoa makes the part totally his own. Highly recommended. 👍

This movie is thrilling and with epic scenes. It captures you from start till end, and it tells a story of a humble hero who became a king of the ocean. My only issue with this movie is that there is a lot of “poser” moment. It became too predictable. Cinematography is amazing. James Wan brings the viewer from one scene to another so well. There is no Synder cut. A review gave this movie one star because ignorantly did not know that this is directed by James Wan.
