Description

When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. Growing up, she was never really sure of what was and wasn’t real when the lights went out…and now her little brother, Martin, is experiencing the same unexplained and terrifying events that had once tested her sanity and threatened her safety. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged. But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.

This is definitely better than: Annabelle, babadook, recently the massive disappointment of The VVich. Light out is one of the scariest films I have seen since Halloween 1978. Ending made me feel uncomfortable she could have done it other ways.
  • At last a decent horror

I saw this on a plane and liked it so much I bought it on iTunes. So hard to find a semi decent horror these days

The publicity this film got over social media is quite scary! In fact, scarier than the film.

It's not easy those days to invent something new and this film is based on classic rules: ghost and jumping moments. However it's very nicely done and it's pleasure to watch. Definitely worth renting price
  • Did not finish. Got bored

Started off interesting and fast, then as the story moved to introduce what I assume was the main character and her boyfriend I could take no more. Cliched, dull and frankly boring. Shame as I like the concept.

But quickly ends up relying on category cliche. Shame, as I was really looking forward to it.

This is a good old fashioned horror film essentially, with a little twist on the back story. Stays away from the cliches and predictable moves, got a few good scare moments and enough tension to keep the horripilation present. Minimal cast keeps the story from getting cluttered and they all put in fine performances. Good creepy film
