Awesome film, great thriller topped off by a phenomenal performance by the one - the only Jennifer Lawrence. I would highly recommend this film. I do hope they bring a sequel out to this.

The negative reviews are harsh. It’s a Saturday night flick and delivers accordingly. Jen seems to have lost her flavour of the month status for now is all. Give it go.

If you are looking for a really good plot with a twist at the end then watch this. Not what I expected and pleasant relief from the usual hollywood franchise dross at the moment

Fabulous, great story and consumate performance from Jennifer Lawrence. Possibly not for those who are fans of the Hollywood action genre or those with short spans of attention. Great for those who can follow a story without constant reminders of a plot, if any, and make their own conclusions. A very engaging movie...
  • Really is quite slow and just seems a bit pointless.

It certainly was okay - just quite dreary! Interesting enough to see it through but didn’t finish with me feeling particular entertained or emotive.

Just a rather uninspiring tale. Take films like the Kremlin Letter, Ipcress File, Spy Who Came in From the Cold. Even early Bond. All well written and with ‘realistic’ Characters driving them. This was a formula led work. And who cares ? The torture scenes were gruesome and the femme fatale aspect - to save the mother tawdry. But I loved seeing Jennifer Lawrence. Mathias Schoenerts looks like a young Putin in this. Entertaining. But there is better out there.
  • Realistic approach, even if it affects entertainment value

This movie is very good at getting to the harsh reality of a spy in Russia and the tough government on their every move, excellent acting throughout, especially Jennifer Lawrence as always in all movies. However this movie lacks grip in some places but manages to reel viewers back in with the intense moments, Plot is good and is more realistic than a film like mission impossible, and so you will either hate it or love it depending on your type. Overall: 4/5 for a realistic Russian spy movie with some intense moments and brilliant acting, lacking in unexpected moments and can confuse at times.
