Description

The crew of Red Dwarf are back! They are all somewhat older, but still none the wiser as they embark on a new adventure that takes them back home to Earth. Lister's busy day of annoying Rimmer is interrupted by the discovery of a dimension-hopping leviathan in the ship's mile-deep water tank. Rimmer's gross incompetence triggers the arrival of his replacement, Katerina, who is determined to guide Lister back to his home planet. But Earth in 2009 is not everything the boys expected, and Rimmer has no intention of being replaced. Discovering they are destined to die, the Dwarfers decide to track down those responsible for their creation to plead for their lives. The making of special then goes behind the scenes of Back to Earth with the cast and crew. Sci-fi comedy starring Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn.

    If you are a true dwarf fan you man not love it but you'll at least enjoy it :) iTunes can you please rename it from 'back to earth' to series 9? That's what it's been changed to as they are now airing series 10 and simply referring to this as 'series 9'

    I am a fan of the early series, much like everyone else. Although Naylor's writing alone has change the feel of the show, I still liked it. I was the only person in my house entertained by the old series, my whole family loved this. I think that should speak volumes. I think people tend to get all self-righteous with this show, and think it was better than it was. It was a great show, and for noone to have done it for 10 years, and to come back, it was great. Bring on RD X

    Not sure what was worse about this, the lazy way they failed to parody Bladerunner and just filled in time with nonsense reproduction, the woeful attempts at topical humour and injokes or the complete lack of chemistry after so many years apart. Red Dwarf stopped being good quite a few seasons back but I had real hope for this. Needless to say I was disappointed. I can't recommend this to anyone.

    This new 21st century style red dwarf™ back to earth is brilliant, as I'm a fan of the red dwarf™ series ever since it came out and the new back to earth is great, I strongly recomend this title and anyone who rights a negative review, well its there fault for buying it

    I've grown up with red dwarf since I was born because of my brother ... It is fantastically hilarious. Deffinately worth five stars. I have every series on tape they are brilliant.

    Don't listen to all the bad reviews, Back to Earth was a GREAT Red Dwarf episode. Most of the people who criticise it have never seen Blade Runner and don't understand most of the jokes. The episode is a big skit of it! If you're a fan of Blade Runner as well as Red Dwarf you'll love this episode. A great return for the boys from the Dwarf, and I can't wait for more new Red Dwarf soon!!!
