The Sopranos, Season 6, Pt. 2

Well just watched the last episode. Six series and loved every one. Yes not a lot happened at times, but what characters. Tony was a conniving selfish bully, but I loved him. The Shield, the Wire and the Sopranos, my three favourite shows. Just started on Breaking Bad, so far so good.

Just watched all 6 series over the last 2 weeks, very over rated, it was very watchable but a little on the dull side to often and the charaters were in consistant, as for the finalle... not as good as the wire and the shield blows it away, don't believe the hype.

The last three series of the Sopranos were seriously over-rated when they appeared. By now it was no longer a novelty to have feature film quality of camerawork, art direction and performances in a TV series. We were used to that (although it's true that Alik Sakharov's photography gets better and better with each of his episodes). But in the main, the quality of the last series of the show was always going to depend on the writing. And here, the authors of the Sopranos fail badly. Ideas are thrown up (like Tony's gambling addiction) and then discarded. New characters appear and are disposed of without any real logic. The writing for Carmela is especially weak and that's a shame - Edie Falco is a great actor. When the writers can't think of what to do next, they stage a car crash and kill someone. And the last and greatest cop-out is the end of the final episode. So what began as an ambitious operatic drama ends up as what-happens-next mess. So many opportunities missed.

The Sopranos from start to finish is an incredible achievement..... the depth and quality of, scriptwriting, acting and amazing characters makes this show an incredible watch..... gets better every time you see it too

Quite simply the best thing i have ever watched, please don't miss this!!!!!

Absolutely without a doubt the best thing I have seen on TV. As mentioned in another review, you need to watch the whole series starting from season 1 episode 1....you will not regret it. My only regret is that I cannot watch it for the first time again.

Please whatever you do today, do not buy this. You must watch every season before this one. It must be watched as one long story. It is without a doubt the best tv series ever produced. I can not praise the entire eries enough. 'T' and the crew will be sorely missed. Long live the 'Bada Bing !'

Incredible TV series and I will never be able to hear Journey again without thinking of this show. Great.

TV's finest hour.

Never a dip in quality of the writing, acting or direction in 6 series. The ending was quite contentious, but personally i thought it perfect. Chase, Gandolfini, Falco and company are geniuses. Without doubt the best thing that has ever graced our tv screens by a country mile and hopefully a movie in the pipeline for all 'T' fans....
