Description

They came for water. And for food. And, as it turned out, we were the food. But humanity bravely resisted — and the war continues. The heroic conflict comes to a surprising outcome in V: The Series. Once again, Earth is the main battleground. But now the aliens, whose human disguise hides their true reptilian natures, are wiser. They believe the secret to their survival on Earth lies in the DNA of the newly born half-human, half-spaceling Starchild. They intend to capture her. But that's something the world's Resistance Fighters cannot allow.

I was 3 years old when this originally aired on TV and watched it as a child. I love the original V and I don’t think the remake was half as good as this!

To the person complaining about spending less than £2 and suggesting stuff from the 1980s is rubbish! Were you even alive then? It was a great period of time in many respects! Either you are a really, really disappointed Sci Fi fan, or you are just rather foolish and naive.!!! I suspect the latter! This is a classic series! How can you call it rubbish based on watching only one episode? How much Sci Fi do you actually know? Its not perfect by any means, but then nothing ever is really, particularly when it comes to films and tv shows. Nevertheless, check things out thoroughly before you part with your cash and then completely condemn the series out of hand. If you make a mistake and waste you’re very small amount of money, then that’s your fault, particularly as you are moaning about a really silly amount lost! Pathetic really!!! Is the storyline too complicated for you to understand? Very likely? Back up your opinions with hard facts! The series has a few flaws, as do most ( like Dr Who? Or Star Trek, for example?), but it is not the complete and utter rubbish you suggest! Watch it again, properly, then pass judgment, and backup with some actual reasons! You are entitled to your opinions like anyone else, but do not completely condemn something without solid facts to back up these opinions! Basic common sense really! I agree about the omission of the mini series! This is a serious oversight!
  • Low rent, but still quite fun

As a rather needless follow up to the original V mini series (which ia also now on iTunes, albeit at a very over inflated price) this show is a mixed success. The budget is low, brutally so with most of the special effects shots simply being taken directly from the mini-series. But the original cast returns (including Michael Ironside) and there's still enjoyment to be had here from time to time, even if the story is a little limp.
  • Where is the rest?

Thought I was getting the complete series - where is Elizabeth's birth, the testing of the red dust, the mothership being distroyed by Elizabeth. The beginning of the whole thing!?! Where oh where did it go? And are we ever going to be able to view this?
  • We need the mini-series

I'm afraid this doesn't make sense without the mini-series....any chance it could be loaded. I didn't realise until after I had bought this series which says 'The Complete Series'...not the case ??...should have read the reviews first !!!

I remember watching this in the 80s, I also have all the Videos of the whole of the 3 series on VHS in my loft somewhere. When I seen this on iTunes, I thought I must have it, says converting all those VHS tapes. It is a bit expensive though for the series, and the other series should be up as well. This is my 1st video purchase off iTunes and I am very very impressed with the quality on my iPod Classic. I am waiting for my iPod TV out lead to see what it looks like on TV. Overall a great series, worth having, a bit expensive, but great!!!! LOC

Although most of the people think this Series is directly linked to "V" the miniseries and "V" the Final Battle we're talking about something completely different in terms of director and partly of production. Some of the footage got reused due to cut to budget and the storyline kind of takes from where the Final Battle has left however there's no link to the original creator and director of the series (reason why there's a new V series currently in production and called the Next Generation. I love this series and bought it last year from the american market and I am really glad it's been brought to the European market too. It gives a great insight to the Aliens day to day life and more evil Diana than ever before!! Recommended for a good week end in!
