Description

The Babylon 5 saga continues in the thrilling series Crusade. In the late 23rd century, humanity has defeated the evil Shadow race. But its allies remain — and they swear revenge. When the mysterious, hateful Drakhs unleash a deadly biogenetic plague on Earth, mankind faces its demise within five years, unless the Rangers — an elite army forged during civilization's darkest hours — can find a cure. Now, in a ceaseless battle against time and the dangers of deep space, the Rangers boldly pursue their mission: to destroy the Drakhs and their alien allies. Diplomacy and negotiation mean nothing. With seven billion lives at stake, action and courage against insurmountable odds must prevail. From acclaimed Babylon 5 executive producer J. Michael Straczynski, the complete Crusade series is available right here on iTunes.

  • Had promise but alas...

Has this story been picked up in any other format? Would love to see / learn how all that dangled potential plays out. Unfilmed screenplays would be wonderful. Shame the way the network killed it

Better than most sci-fi (although considering some of what's out there, that is a faint compliment), this box-set misses what is perhaps the most important part, the feature-length episode/film A Call To Arms that set up the entire thing and showed that there were two Excalibur-class ships at the start. Nevertheless, the series is watchable and does improve as it progresses. Apple, can we please have that missing film? Please?
  • Crusade is poor

Do not be fooled into thinking that becasue Babylon 5 was good that crusade would be of the same standard. I was extrmemly dissapointed by this series and felt that it was missing a lot, in the way of good plot line and acting.
  • Crusade - give it a go!

Okay, so this is not in the same league as B5, and some episodes are derivative of that great series, but, after a somewhat dull beginning, the series gets better and better. It is at it's best being fun and the X Files take-off "Visitors from down the Street" is a prime example of this. I particularly loved the Galen episodes, as his character is clever, mischievous, powerful yet flawed and the thief Cally is great too. There is a lot of potential which was sadly never explored and, by the end, you'll be wishing for more.
