So good I actually named our daughter after one of the characters (we liked the name Inara - my wife had not actually seen the show at that point)!!! If only all TV was so enjoyable, I watched this when it was first made and can’t believe they axed it. Damn you Joss Whedon for creating such a great Tv show! No seriously thank you, I just wish firefly had as many seasons as Buffy!

watched them all on a beach in Myanmar. couldnt believe no 2nd series. great storylines,brilliant humour,balance of charcters is perfect and like any good story it pulls you in so that you want more. Such a shame that there is none to be. One that got away!

I would love to see this series refreshed. Maybe Disney will be able to see what Fox could not? This is a real gem and has aged well. Worth a view if you haven’t seen this before. Worth a revisit if you have.

What a great series and film. If you’re thinking of watching this, just be prepared to realise you’ll be another one of the hundreds of thousands, probably millions of people, who can’t believe there wasn’t a second series once you finish the first. Original, witty, great characters, great stories, powerful, fun... and no sound in space (love that bit). You’ll yearn for a second series...

... Firefly didn't Keep Flying. One season, one movie; that's all we got. Oh how the nerd race wrung its hands and sobbed into its pillows! Comicon Q&As and Twitter rumours are all we can look forward to now. Let it go Geeks, it wasn't to be... Firefly is part of our SciFi heritage, along with Chewbacca, Deckard and Ripley. It's awesome for reasons that are not apparent at first. Slightly hammy and with a curious ability to not take itself too seriously, it very soon finds a place in the heart. The characters are warm and engaging. The plot, though simple, is fun and action packed. A new genre; cowboys, comedy and space long before Daniel Craig turned up. It is a thing of beauty. Enjoy! btw I saw this picture on Instagram of Morena Baccarin and she was holding a 2019 script entitled "Beyond Miranda"...

A gem of a TV series, absolutely crazy that it was cancelled after 1 season. My family and I treasure every episode. Must have for your collection!

Hugely entertaining, a must see for any Sci-fi fan! Then after the series buy Serenity the film, you will see this could have been hugely successful, Great work from Josh Weedon.

Honestly, I tried watching this a while back, but couldn't get into the first episode. I just watched the entire series on Netflix in less than a week. It's much better than you might think, and it really didn't deserve to be cancelled. I was only 5 when it was released (although I'm English), and I still like it - despite it being almost as old as me (in terms of TV shows). You really should, at the very least, give it a try... And memorise the theme song... It's really catchy ;)
